This Privacy Policy explains how Wyoop Technologies ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the 12 Testers mobile application (the "App"). 12 Testers is a community platform that helps app developers find real testers for their apps — for example, to meet Google Play's closed-testing requirements — by testing each other's apps.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a unique Google account identifier.
- App listings — details of apps you add to your library: app name, developer name, Google Play link, package name, an icon you upload, optional testing instructions, and whether you enable AI (autopilot) testing.
- Group & testing activity — groups you join, which apps you have tested each day, your testing streak/strikes, and reputation.
- Feedback — ratings and written reviews you leave on other members' apps.
Information collected automatically
- Push notification token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token so we can send you notifications (e.g. "your group has started", "someone reviewed your app").
- Usage & analytics data — app screens viewed and key actions, collected via Google Analytics for Firebase to help us improve the App.
- Advertising identifiers — when ads are shown, Google AdMob may access your device's advertising ID and related data.
- Technical data — device and diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, app version, and IP address) processed by our providers to operate and secure the service.
Installed-apps and on-device access
- Installed apps — to let you open and test group members' apps, and to show whether an app is installed on your device, the App checks whether specific package names are present. We do not build or upload a catalogue of all the apps on your device.
- AI / Autopilot testing (optional) — if you turn it on, the App uses a "Display over other apps" overlay and a foreground service to open each enrolled app for a short period (about 30 seconds) in turn. It marks tasks as tested but does not read, capture, or transmit any content from those other apps.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To operate core features: listing apps, forming groups, tracking daily testing, credits, reputation, and feedback.
- To send you notifications about your groups, testing reminders, and feedback on your apps.
- To display ads and, where required, request your consent for personalized or non-personalized ads.
- To measure usage, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process your data on the bases of: performance of a contract (providing the App), your consent (e.g. ads and notifications), and our legitimate interests (securing and improving the service).
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:
- With other members — your display name, your listed app's public details (name, icon, developer, Play link, instructions), and the ratings/feedback you leave are visible to other members of the App, as that is the purpose of the service.
- With service providers — Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics), Google AdMob, and the Google User Messaging Platform, which process data on our behalf to run the App.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
These providers process data under their own terms. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Advertising
The App shows ads through Google AdMob. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Where legally required, we present a consent form (via the Google User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time from within the App's privacy options. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete an app from your library, that listing is removed. When you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access & correction — view and edit your profile and app listings in the App.
- Deletion — delete individual apps in the App, or request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (see Contact).
- Notifications — turn off push notifications from your device settings at any time.
- Ad consent — update your ad consent choices via the App's privacy options.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures provided by Google Cloud/Firebase, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
9. Children
The App is intended for developers and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers operated by our providers in countries other than your own. We rely on our providers' safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App where appropriate.
